Mountain Sky Guest Ranch
Mountain Sky Guest Ranch first opened as a dude ranch in 1929 in Paradise Valley, MT. After visiting the ranch for many years as a guest, Arthur M. Blank purchased Mountain Sky in 2001 making it the first of four Montana properties now included in the AMB West portfolio of properties.
Mountain Sky encompasses 10,767 acres and provides a curated guest ranch experience with all-inclusive packages for five and seven-night stays. Often referred to as “Mountain Sky Magic,” the family atmosphere, cherished Western traditions and outstanding staff and service keep guests coming back to the ranch year after year.
Featuring a renowned horse program including daily morning and evening rides, weekly meal rides, and opportunities to experience cattle work and team penning, Mountain Sky provides an authentic Western experience in a stunning setting. Guests also enjoy gourmet cuisine, a world-class wellness center and pool, a popular kid’s program, archery, clay shooting, guided hiking, wagon rides, fly fishing and much more.
RISING SUN GOLF AT MOUNTAIN SKY GUEST RANCH
Mountain Sky is also home to Rising Sun Golf, an 18-hole Johnny Miller-designed championship course featuring multiple tees to accommodate all levels of play. With stunning views of the Absaroka and Gallatin Mountain ranges, Rising Sun is the first golf course in Montana to become a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International.
LAND AND LIVESTOCK PROGRAM
Also functioning as a working ranch, Mountain Sky hosts farming and cattle operations including a horse herd of 200 head. The Land and Livestock program utilizes innovative farming practices including the use of biological fertilizer, and no-till and regenerative systems to promote soil health and diversity. In addition, the Land and Livestock crew operates hunting components and timber harvest across AMB West properties to steward wildlife and habitat.
Guests of AMB West ranches have the opportunity to experience working ranch activities during their stay, including cattle work and team penning.
